Welcome

Welcome to the Missouri Hunter Education Instructor’s Association (MHEIA) website. We hope that we can be helpful to you in providing information about Missouri’s hunter education program. On this website you will find information on Missouri’s hunter education requirements, hunter orange requirements and how to replace a lost hunter education certification. You can also find a link to statewide hunter education classes through the Missouri Department of Conservation’s website.
Be sure to check our Calendar for hunter education events.
Our Awards and Hall of Fame pages include the names of Missouri instructors and supporters who have given of themselves to make our state program a success. We appreciate the sincere dedication of these many award winners.
MHEIA is the proud sponsor of the Missouri Youth Hunter Education Challenge, including regional events and an annual state championship, that allows hunter education graduates further their knowledge and skills in hunting safety and conservation education.

Mission Statement:

It is the mission of the Missouri Hunter Education Instructor’s Association to support and enhance the hunter education program in Missouri.

We are working hard to get things together for our upcoming Conference. Please make your plans to come be with us! We are working with a Search and Rescue team with their dogs, the World Bird Sanctuary, Missouri Bat Census, and Mr. Rob Keck, Director of Conservation for Bass Pro Shops and a man that is a flint knapper for this Conference. It promises to be a very good and informative weekend. We’ll have good food, fellowship and fun!!! Of course, during our annual Business meeting, we’ll have elections for two Regional Directors. This year will be for St Louis and Northeast Regions.
***
If you have ideas for Regional Instructor of the Year, please let you Regional Director know. You can contact the Country Club Hotel and Spa in Lake Ozark to make your reservations by calling 1-800-964-6698 or by logging on to www.countryclubhotel.com.

Also, please try to get your MHEIA Registrations in early so we will know that you’re coming! If you have items that you would like to donate for the Silent Auction, please bring them along or if you can’t come get them to your Regional Director. We will also be drawing for all 20 guns on our annual gun raffle at Conference. You can get your tickets from your Regional Director. 20 guns, 20 chances to win per ticket for $20.00 per ticket. That is only $1.00 per gun. With only 1000 tickets state wide, you have a good chance and of course the more tickets you get the better your chances!!!

I look forward to seeing everyone at Conference.
